Subject :Phone calls and photos

[ This is roughly the phone conversation. What's The Bloody Point took on the role of Bruce Banner for me. ]

David Keith : I am now in London.
Bruce Banner : I am a key-note speaker at a conference and will be on stage between 11:30am and 1:00pm. We can meet at 1:00pm.
David Keith : See you there.

[ 12:30pm arrive at the stake out. 12:55pm onwards the mobile phone rung every three or four minutes but remained unanswered. By 1:20pm 'David' had not been spotted. At 1.37pm the phone is answered as Bruce very breathless. ]

Bruce Banner : David?
David Keith : Yes - Bruce? Where are you?
Bruce Banner : David, sorry I have a problem. I collapsed at my presentation and they've called me an ambulance. David I'm not good at all. David where are you?
David Keith : Here!
Bruce Banner : Where's here? Are you in the mews?
David Keith : Yes!
Bruce Banner : David can you see the ramp up from the car park?
David Keith : Yes!
Bruce Banner : What you can see it now?
David Keith : Yes Bruce [ he couldn't as I would have seen him. ]
Bruce Banner : OK. Listen David, I'll meet you in three minutes at the top of the ramp before the paramedics get here. I think I can make it to there. Will you be there David?
David Keith : Yes Bruce.
Bruce Banner : OK I'll give you the #5000 and then I'll wait for the doctors and I'll speak to you later OK?
David Keith : OK.

[ Phone down. 40 seconds later David arrives (he must have been hiding) photos taken between 13.41 and 13.47. They were taken from a distance on zoom so not that clear. My mobile was now off in case he heard it ring - He tried to call again a few times - see the photos. ]

David Keith : I don't know - he said he had problems and was waiting for a doctor...

[ I walked to the end of the road and spoke to a policeman. I told him that I had been working in the mews all day and it was really odd but a smartly dressed African guy had been walking up and down the mews for the last 5 hours. I just thought he should know as it seemed like odd behaviour to me. He thanked me and walked in to the mews. I got my car which took some time and returned to the end of the mews to see 'Dave' walking down the street away from the Mews. The police obviously hadn't kept him for that long. 30 mins later I was sitting in a friends office looking at the photos and I turned the mobile back on. It rung. My friend picked it up and in a posh English accent: ]

Doctor : Hello Mr Banner,s phone.
Frank Edwards : Hello can I speak with Bruce.
Doctor : I am afraid that is not possible.
Frank Edwards : Who is that?
Doctor : I am a doctor at the Central London and Middlesex hospital Mr Banner is with us.
Frank Edwards : Is he alright?
Doctor : Not really no he's had a Cardiac Arrest, a Heart Attack. Can I ask who I am talking to, are you a friend?
Frank Edwards : My name is Frank.
Doctor : Well Frank are you a friend of Mr Banner's?
Frank Edwards : Oh yes a good friend.
Doctor : Are you a religious man Frank?
Frank Edwards : Oh yes sir.
Doctor : Well I think it would be helpful if you prayed for him. Can I pass a message on, I am sure he will appreciate it if he comes around.
Frank Edwards : Yes tell him Frank called to see how he is.
Doctor : OK I will do.

[ Since then the phone has rung every 40 mins or so but not answered. The mobile has rung 3 times while I've been typing this. ]

Bruce's sister : Hello Bruce's phone?
David Keith : Hello?
Bruce's sister : Hello can I help you?
David Keith : How is Mr Banner?
Bruce's sister : Oh he's not good we are tranfering him to a private hospital.
David Keith : Private Hospital? Err...
Bruce's sister : ..I'm really sorry. I ve got to go, I've got to go. Who is it that's calling?
David Keith : David. Tell him David rang, wish him better
Bruce's sister : OK Bye Bye (all panicking)
